The mission of the EDS is to define emergency and palliative dental conditions and establish international standards of care
that provide the best, most comprehensive, yet practicable timely care possible for these conditions urgently or emergent-
ly. We also exist to support evidence-based research to further the constant improvement in treatment, management and
prevention of emergency, urgent and palliative dental conditions. Through education and research it is our goal to create,
nurture and foster the specialty of Emergency and Palliative Dentistry worldwide to the betterment of mankind.
As an EDS member, you’ll gain access to valuable developing resources, be provided expertise insight, and receive information on implementing and providing timely Emergency and Palliative Dental Care. Collectively, you become part of the advocacy and practice in closing the gap of an essential and often missing element of current dental care standards.
